Humidor Short Dog

Well, my friends, what can I say. Product discontinued. Should we worry? Not really. Let me tell you why. Smoked this beauty for about 90 minutes with zero rush. Went very well with two Godfather drinks in a hot, summer evening like we recently had allover Europe. Still - not a loss that it is discontinued. It looks badass but it is airy, which has its ups and downs. Production wise it was A class. Same with draw, burn and ash resistance. Not top of the pops but enough to have no complaints. Taste wise pretty interesting. Somehow reminded me of some Davidoffs which is not bad at all. A good light mixture of grass, toasted coffee and thick cream dominates the experience. And this is good. Maybe so good that the rest of the flavours simply had no room in this combination. Some wood and soil and old leather are also present and it feels like a part of it tried to be harder than it actually is. Hard to pinpoint this in words but somehow it felt like a pumped up badass looking dude who is nothing but a sweetheart inside and it would just be better for the whole world if he would embrace his genuine kindness. Because this could have been an outstanding stick IF.... but it it just a good smoke on the end. So we will not cry too hard that it has been discontinued. Off to the next one, folks. Quite an aromatic and tasty cigar and surprisingly good for the price. Smoking time: approx 110 minutes. Construction quality so-so but not really bad. Ash won't stay long before it falls down. Density is decent - but the amount of smoke and milkiness of it is pretty good. Nothing impressive with this cigar, but cannot complain too much either with this price. Would I ever try it again? Probably not. Am I sorry for trying it? Absolutely not. All in all - it's like a Sneakers when you're a bit hungry and into something sweet. Some cheap crap that does the job just fine. Tried it together with an Espresso Martini. Duration time: approx 80 min. Went well for an average out and about with friends. Not something I'd enjoy properly on my terrace. The quality reflects the price quite well. Value for the money is decent. Nothing special, but I can't say it's bad. Not much aroma or taste. Decently easy to smoke, but the amount of smoke is not satisfying if you're a heavy smoker. Burning and construction - quite well for a 4 bucks stick. All in all: imagine a Tuesday evening sex with your stable partner, when you're both pretty tired and not in the best shape - but in the end you still enjoy it because doing it is better than. nothing at all. Same with this smoke. Might buy it again for cheap cigar escapades. Peace and love!

Got this in the Seleccion Sampler and hei - a very nice surprise for the money. And it's enough to give people a taste of the cubano flavours and mildness - which indeed is very different to most New World cigars. Smoked it for about 30 minutes. Processing is ok - with quick but even burn, easy to light and smoke - yet too airy and light for my taste. Aromas are there regardless of what I've been reading about it. Grassy, slightly creamy, fruity (summer fruits) and even sweet which I found weird but not unpleasant. There's some toasted chocolate hints and vague muddy soils flavours kicking here and there. All in all it feels like that guilty pleasure of eating McDonalds ice cream with caramel - a cheap looking cheap tasting cheaply priced desert that works so well sometimes. I think it's a good starter cigar as it's so mild. And for the money? Nothing more to ask really - yet it's not worth more. A morning coffee smoke if you ask me. Nothing fancy but nothing wrong with it. Especially for those who had no chance to try cubanos before the price craze - go ahead try it. I have a few more in the humidor to store for a while and see how they evolve. Peace and love and stop fronting be good to each other life's too short for bullshit.

Had to put it down after smoking about half of it. Cheap label, the aspect of the cigar is questioning because from the touch it feels like it can crumble at any point (which started to happen after a few tokes) and the consistency is extremely bad. It almost feels like you draw in air although smoke seems to fill your mouth. Speaking of which. Musty - old fermented fruity flavours mixed with rancid humid soil - absolutely a no go. All in all it feels like what you get in return for your tax money these days. So hell no. I will stay away and you should too. It's not even about the price here - it is simply a bad cigar. Even if it was for free it would be an abomination to a stick. Peace and love!

Joya de Nicaragua simply never let me down. 8.5/10 considering the price. 60 minutes of simple, relaxed, yummi smoking enjoyment. It is a light, unpretentious cigar, but at the same time it delivers with a pleasant hay-cream taste, very well rolled tobacco and a constant, balanced burn. Ash collection is not the best ever, but who cares. And for the price - a steal I tell you. All in all it feels like a lazy Sunday in bed next to your loved one watching crap on TV but enjoying each second of it. I recommend it especially to beginners and yes I will smoke this stick again for sure. Peace and love!

Oh wow what a pleasant surprise. Duration time: approx 75 minutes. You might take longer to smoke it, but I like it so much that I just couldn't stop puffing and enjoying. Very easy to smoke - a great choice for beginners - with smooth, creamy smoke (smoke volume not that great though) and the aromas. Oh my of my. Such breezy summerish aromas. Hints of fruits - getting sweeter in the second part - nutty and also chocolate and coffee towards the 2nd and 3rd part. Felt in love with it - so I will put it in my "The Shiznit" humidor. Also see it as a light day to day smoke - goes well with light drinks like juices, coffee, wine., All in all it felt like a nice evening with my sister over a nice glass of wine. Warm, cozy, relaxed and all sprinkled with giggles here and there. 100% recommendation for at least one try. Peace and love!

Just when I was about to think that cheap cigars are crap...I bumped into Casa Culinaria Connecticut Belicoso and I was simply blown away. So smooth. So fruity. So aromatic and creamy - I think it's the first fruity cigar I ever smoked. Absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. 70 minutes smoking time. I feel like it is the type of cigar one can smoke on a daily basis - and goes great with easy drinks like wine or a juice. All in all - reminded me of a particular spring day when I was walking with my kindergarten colleagues - smelling the blossomed trees. Tasting the air. Innocent. Not knowing what life would bring and wouldn't even care back then. I'll definitely give more kisses to this delightful Belicoso. I recommend it with all my heart.
