Tsuge Kiseru Sterling Silver

The Kiseru (jap. 煙管, literally "smoke pipe") is a traditional, small Japanese pipe specifically designed for smoking finely cut tobacco (kizami tabako, 刻みタバコ). A distinctive feature of the Kiseru is that both the mouthpiece and the relatively narrow bowl are made of metal. This narrow bowl allows for the heating of small amounts of tobacco at very low temperatures.

Between the mouthpiece and the bowl, there is often a wooden shaft, commonly made from bamboo, which is referred to as Rau (羅宇) in Japan. Alternatively, this shaft can be replaced by a tube made of acrylic or other materials. One notable variant is the Tsuge Kiseru, which is crafted entirely from sterling silver.

The finest Kiseru are made from solid sterling silver, giving them not only an elegant appearance but also exceptional durability and a revered status in Japanese smoking culture.

These luxurious versions are highly prized by collectors and are considered masterpieces of traditional craftsmanship.

The Tsuge Kiseru Sterling Silver pipes are presented in a traditional, handcrafted wooden box, lined with fabric at the bottom to enhance their exquisite appeal.
