Blanco
This very pleasant and easily approachable blend of various Dominican tobaccos in the filler and a binder from Mexico makes it especially easy for beginners to learn to appreciate the enjoyment of a good longfiller cigar. The wrapper of the Blanco cigars is a light Connecticut Shade. A special highlight of this brand is the “Classic Candela” with its green wrapper – air-cured in just two days, it retains its chlorophyll due to this very short drying time and therefore its green color. In terms of flavor, the Blancos are mild, with a light natural sweetness and an overall very approachable, pleasant taste.
Classic Candela by Blanco: The Unique Green Cigar
This affordable Dominican cigar is one of the first brands that were imported to Germany in the last millennium (!) by (then still) Kohlhase & Kopp. The two families have since parted ways, so the importer is now known simply as Kopp Tobaccos. At the time, there was nothing comparable in this price range, and large quantities of Blanco cigars were sold. During and after the cigar boom (1998–2002), a large number of other, similarly affordable cigars were introduced to the market. Nevertheless, this brand remains very popular. The name already suggests that these cigars are used as a private label by many cigar retailer colleagues, which has led to their widespread distribution.
