Juan Lopez Edición Regional

In 2011, Fifth Avenue, the official sole importer of Habanos in Germany, decided to honor the Juan Lopez brand with a special and very majestic format – the Distinguidos. These rare cigars, produced under the production name "Romeo," measure 162 mm in length with a ring gauge of 52. This format, which is currently produced exclusively for the Cuaba brand, is a double figurado that tapers at both ends.

The Juan Lopez Distinguidos is a special release available only in limited quantities as part of the Edición Regional for Germany. These special editions are known for being crafted exclusively for specific markets and are distinguished by unique formats and blends designed to cater to local tastes.

The flavor profile of the Distinguidos is initially influenced heavily by the wrapper and binder leaves, as the thickness varies along the length, resulting in a diverse and intriguing play of aromas. Due to the demanding manufacturing process, only the most experienced torcedores, true masters of their craft, are allowed to roll these Cuban cigars. These cigars are produced at the "La Corona" factory in Havana, which is currently regarded as the largest of its kind.

A total of only 30,000 cigars were produced, distributed in individually numbered cabinet boxes of 25 each. The typical Juan Lopez full-bodied yet mild tobacco blend was created by the renowned top torcedor Saul de los Rios, who worked as a cigar roller in Germany during a tour in 2007.
