Ann-Eks: Westphalian Roots Meet Tobacco Enjoyment
One might suspect a translation error or the phonetic adoption of an indigenous American language. In fact, this label is purely Westphalian, and its name reflects its origins: The brand Ann-Eks is the brainchild of Schuster, based in Germany. The East Westphalians simply wanted to deviate from the well-trodden path of creating yet another Spanish-sounding coined word for their brand.
Schuster Quality: Ann-Eks Cigars with Character
This marketing move is promising. The name stands out and embodies the values associated with Schuster: excellent tobacco and top-notch craftsmanship. The naming is intentionally ironic. For instance, the cigars of the Ann-Eks X series are called Gerda and Günther, evoking more of a sense of hearty German reliability than Central American exoticism.
Ann-Eks – Tobacco Enjoyment with Great Variety
Matching this theme are the cigarillos. The slim and small is named Karla, while the thick and robust is Kurt. If Gerda and Günther, Karla and Kurt sound like members of a traditional Westphalian bowling club to you, give them a try. To challenge stereotypes, we even offer the cigarillos as single items. An ideal pairing is created with the accompanying Ann-Eks Rum. Available as a duo, Hannelore and Hartmut, she hails from Mauritius, and he from Barbados.
