Belmore Cigars and Charles Fairmorn
Belmore is a brand by Charles Fairmorn, rolled in the in-house Tabacalera in the Dominican Republic. The Charles Fairmorn brand originally comes from the United States, where it was founded in 1972. A few years later, a German branch was established in Hamburg. During the tobacco market downturn of the 1980s, the U.S. operations ceased.
Nicaragua and Honduras
In Germany, changes also took place. The company moved from the Hanseatic city of Hamburg to Dingelstädt in Thuringia and later back to the north, to Lübeck. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, operations resumed in the United States. Today, Charles Fairmorn operates several locations in Central America, including Nicaragua and Honduras. Here, the Charles Fairmorn Tradition and Liga Centro Americana are crafted under the leadership of Nestor Plasencia. In the Dominican Republic, alongside Belmore, the brands Quisqueya and Personales are also produced.
The World of Belmore Cigars
Production of the cigars began in 2001, and the Belmore brand was launched two years later. These are perfectly crafted and elegantly presented cigars that have gained many fans over the years. This comes as no surprise, given the exceptional quality Belmore offers.

The Belmore Connecticut, formerly Clasico, is a pleasantly mild cigar. Dominican tobaccos, complemented by a touch of Nicaraguan filler and an American Connecticut Shade wrapper, deliver a wonderfully harmonious experience. The Belmore Maduro stands out with its sweetness, thanks to its Brazilian Maduro wrapper, which not only provides a rich, deep brown color but also delivers the distinctive Brazilian flavor.
