Cigarkings: Bestseller

Cigarkings' Rocky Road into the Industry
"Out of the blue" – a frequently used expression that we prefer to avoid here. Instead, we'll stick to the facts: The founder of Cigarkings, Philipp Kugler, originally had no connection to the world of cigars and came from a completely different industry. As an aspiring communication designer, he developed the brand identity for a (then still) fictitious cigar label as part of a university project. But what started as a theoretical project quickly developed into a genuine passion for cigars and their production.
Philipp Kugler: Founder of Cigarkings
Theory turned into practice: Philipp successfully implemented the project, and since 2016, Cigarkings has been active as a company. However, the path was not easy – numerous visits to dealers and events were necessary to make the brand known. A significant breakthrough came when Kugler sold his first 800 cigars of the now discontinued series Schöne Robusto in a single day at a specialty shop in Munich. This experience convinced him to fully dedicate himself to cigar production and to continue expanding the Cigarkings brand.
Today, Cigarkings has established itself in the market and attracts attention with regular new releases. All cigars are produced in a small, family-run factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The exact identity of the manufacturer is kept secret by Kugler to maintain the brand's exclusivity.
Regional Responsibility
Another concern of Philipp's is the regional grounding of his product. Although the tobacco does not grow in Chiemgau, the packaging is sourced from Bavaria. This sends a clear message of sustainable management of natural resources. It is particularly noteworthy that Kugler exclusively uses wood from sustainably managed Bavarian forests for the production of the cigar boxes, which further improves the company's ecological footprint.
Portfolio of Cigarkings: Cigars and Samplers
The Cigarkings range includes a wide variety of cigars to suit different tastes. In addition to the classic Sun Grown, there are also dark Maduros, limited Editions, and various Samplers. Each of these cigars is carefully crafted and reflects the passion and commitment that characterize Cigarkings. Particularly noteworthy is the use of complex "H2000" tobacco from Nicaragua and Ecuadorian wrappers. Their distinctive aromas are typical of Cigarkings. Additionally, the filler tobacco in the Sun Grown and Maduro series deliberately avoids the use of Ligero tobacco, giving the cigars a balanced strength.
Entubado Rolling Technique
Kugler is particularly proud of the traditional Cuban rolling technique "Entubado," which is used in each of his cigars. This method involves rolling the filler tobacco to create eight separate smoke channels. The result of this compact yet airy rolling is exceptionally slow-burning cigars that allow all flavors to develop evenly and optimally.
