As with a lot of those super fat cigars in this price class it is much to loosely rolled. They just don't use enough tobacco ! This one had an open tunnel in the middle! Maybe it was just bad luck, but it ruined the cigar, and it's a pity, because the overall taste was not so bad. No draw resistance turned it into a hot lump of tobacco, no matter how careful I was. A pity, because the first two centimeters were quite enjoyable.

A spicy little devil! It comes close to , let's say, a Bolivar. The first centimeter there's a lot of wood and nut. After that the pepper starts to kick in and it stays there till the end. It has a relatively light draw so you must be very careful not to turn it into a bomb. Burn is OK, had to touch up once. Not a beginner's cigar nor one to be smoked in the morning or on an empty stomach. Like I said it could be mistaken for a Cuban Bolivar. Despite all that strenght it doesn't turn bitter, a good thing.

Short, fat and not too bad. Dominant flavours are wood, nut and cream... in the 1/3th part of the cigar. This part is also very smooth tasting. From then on the flavour gets quite strong and a bit bitter, lots of tar and nicotine. Although I'm a very "slow" smoker the tar taste past the second half made me put it away. There is very little draw resistance and one must be very careful not to overheat the little thing ..and even then it got (too) hot. The one I smoked had a perfect straight burn. All in all not too bad for the first half, but not very enjoyable for the second part.

A classic, full bodied wonderful cigar. Together with the Partagas serie D n°4, my absolute favorite amongst Cuban cigars. I think every cigar afficionado should have smoked these. Call me old-fashioned but for me, these two cigars are the yardstick to which I measure all others. This is cigar heaven come true. Lots of new brands have appeared over the years, but few of them can stand up to this great classic. Price however is quite steep as with all Cuban cigars.

Still an enigma to me. Why is the production quality of this great cigar so erratic? Some of them are outstanding but quite a few are just unsmokeable, mostly due to the fact that they are rolled much to firmly. This shouldn't happen to a cigar in this price category. Over the years I also noticed that the quality of the tobacco is also very inconsistent. In my opinion this is a seriously overpriced cigar

I once got me a bundle of these and I'm very sorry to say, but these were amongst the worst cigars I ever smoked, flavour-wise. Construction, draw and burn were OK, but they had a disgusting kind of sour-bitter metallic taste. Maybe I got a bundle from a bad production batch, but I won't take the chance again. This was a few years ago and maybe they upgraded their quality in the meantime, because from the reviews I read here, they don't seem so bad now.

This has always been my favorite Dominican cigar and it still is. A cigar with a lot of flavour and a wonderful aroma. Perfect construction, draw and burn. Not too mild and not too strong. You get a lot of cigar for the money.

Over the years, this has always been my absolute favorite Cuban cigar and it still is. This isn't a cigar to just smoke, it's a cigar to savour. It has a predominant full, earthy taste to it that's difficult to describe. Every centimeter of this cigar is a new adventure of flavours that interchange with each other. It is also a Cuban cigar which has very little burning issues, an occasional specimen may have this, but it's rather an exception. One drawback: as with most Cuban cigars, I find them a bit overpriced, some of them even ridiculously so.

A wonderful cigar. Everything' s just right there and in a very balanced way. A rich but balanced taste of everything that makes a good cigar. Very good draw and burn. Beautiful reddish - brown colorado wrapper. Not so strong it will knock your socks off, but certainly with enough body, certainly in the second half.

A good cigar in this price category. No bells and whistles, but a good taste of simple and honest Cuban tobacco. Mild in taste and aroma, not very complicated, but quite balanced. A good entry cigar in the Cuban cigar world. Good draw and burn.

A surprisingly tastefull smoke in this price category. Very good construction, draw and burn. 30 minutes of smoking pleasure. I also smoked the Intenso and the Robusto and I find the Expreso the most tastefull of the three. Outstanding value for money.

I' m not a great favorite of bundle cigars in general, but this is an exception. A very mild cigar but not tasteless at all. Perfect constuction, draw and burn. Another very good Selva product at a very democratic price. An honest smoke, not complicated but with an honest tobacco taste.
