Smoked it for a bit over an hour. And I was suprised. Not because it is an outstanding top quality smoke, but for it delivers 100% and more for its price. Well constructed, a bit too airy for my taste though, but the burn was good, draws were easy and it kept a constant level of taste from start to finish, without becoming bitter or spicy towards the end. There's not a lot of flavours beyond grass, hay and toast. Maybe some hints of thin essence wood and arid soils. A little bit of creaminess kept the poor flavour mix in check which is another plus. All in all it felt like a small weekend getaway for a hike around your local lake on good weather - can's compare it to Cancun but it's refreshing and delivers strongly for paying almost nothing. Would I smoke this again? To be honest not sure. Too light for me. Should you? If you are hunting for budget smokes absolutely yes. If you only seek top quality and your pocket is full of stamina, you can walk by. Peace and love!

A wonderful cigar with an exxagerated price. Let me explain. 120 minutes of smoking pleasure indeed. It's a Davidoff, so it is obviously built to perfection. No flaws in construction, consistency, draw, burn or smoke amount. Nothing at all. 10/10 here. Strength is medium plus. Taste wise it evolves around nice fertile rich soils and young wood of strong essences. All spiced up with some hints of raisins and dried fruits, some coffee, grass and leather. It really tastes great and you can feel the quality, but here comes the first "but". But... there is a little bit of "something" that just doesn't make it a 10 out of 10. Hard to identify what. Yes quality is there good aromas are there great construction but but but... all in all it feels like a top room in Fairmont hotels. Nothing to comment about, but they lack soul. So you pay a lot of money for something well done, yet with not much spirit. And this is why for me it was a great experience, but only once for the money. Should you try it? Absolutely it is worth a try. Peace and love!

Strong flavours in a solid smoke. Lasted for about 90-100 minutes. Construction is solid and consistency is just right. Burn is slow, with easy draws, and plenty of smoke. I always love when cigars that tend to go on the strong side are creamy - because the creminess tempers the raw essences down in the perfect way. And this one here does just that. Plenty of solid wood aromas, hardened old smokey leather, toasty, wet dark soils, hints of nuts and grass. But the best part with this cigar is how the coffee and dark chocolate flavours kick in. These two take over the journey and it just feels right. All in all it feels to me like a morning when I wake up refreshed and everything seems to be in the right place. Would I smoke it again? Probably yes - although I must say for the price the competition is extraordinary, so cannot say a legend in its's price range because it is not. Should you try it? Out of curiosity yes - yet I doubt this would be anyone's "cigar of choice". Peace and love!

An excellent cigar! Hats off, Plasencia. It looks premium, it feels premium when you hold it in your hand and it has an impeccable construction. Top consistency, flawless draw and slow, even burn. Not the cheapest cigar but it is worth every cent. The level of creminess is so good that even though the cigar has harsh flavours, the cremainess tempers everything down and smoothens out the rich soil, fresh nuts and strong woods aromas. Coffee and dark chocolate are also strongly present, while the hay and hints of raisins and other dried exotic fruits complete the experience. All in all it feels like one of those rare days you smile to yourself and acknowledge happiness. I recopmmend it fully to anyone who didn't smoke it yet and even to beginners. Because this is the standard for a proper. delicious cigar. Peace and love!

Proper good quality cigar for decent money. Well rolled, but the technique doesn't aim for visual perfection (although consistency, burn and draws are top notch). Reminds me of those old good quality things like my grandfather's cane which didn't shine but I can tell you for sure it was a damn good resistant stick. Simply well done. Rugged flavours superbly mixed into a smooth experience. Sounds contradictory but somehow it works. Reminds me of Luciano's The Sergeant in this sense. Dark wood, forest fresh soils, coffee, old hay and hints of leather and nuts make this one a perfect mix with some spirits. I had it with cognac. Oh yes and on top of all - there's a decent amount of creminess to temper the harshness of the flavours. Also worth mentioning is that it's not going bad in the last third. A bit more peppery, but not in a bothering way. I'll definitely hit it again and if you like to taste life in a crude way - this one might be for you. All essence - no bullshit. Yes, one can argue that there's serious competition in the price range - yet it's an affordable range of a top cigar brand and it's doing a damn good job to live up to the Padron name. Peace and love.

A tasty smoke - yet overpriced. Like all EPC's that I've tried - quality is easily noticeable from the get go. Very well rolled, great consistency, top burning behaviour and plenty of creamy smoke. It also looks great and feels premium in your hands. The taste evolves around strong aromas like European forest woods, fat healthy soils, kicks of coffee and hints of chocolate, semi-dried hay and here and there some raisin and dried exotic fruits flavours. All in all it feels like a complete, Saturday morning breakfast. Delivers on all fronts. Why overpriced then? Well - competition. Yes it is a great cigar, but not a "classic" and there are classics out there cheaper than this. Would I smoke it again? Maybe. EPCs for sure. Should you? Definitely worth a try - especially if money is no issue to you. Peace and love!

Excellent for the money. See my Robusto version review for the full description. Similar experience. Maybe this one scored even better on creaminess, grassy summer notes - while still having the awesome wood aromas mix as king. 100% recommendation - also a wonderful choice for beginners. Peace and love!

Such a dark beauty. First time I'd had a Raices and had no idea what to think of it. Looks solid built (and it is) and smells great (coffee, dark muds) and it feels a bit oily. A good sign, as I was surprised from the first toke. Very tasty if you are into "darker" flavours. A great mix of strong coffee, dark chocolate, dark wet muds and wood with hints of dried fruits like raisins, old leather and toasted nuts. Also super creamy to the point of buttery. All in all it feels like a proper cigar should - very satisfying. And for the money I think we have a good production here. Only made me curious to try others from their range. Full recommandation. Peace and love!

What can I say? A Padron is a Padron - and I can only be thankful that they have this "classic" versions for plebs like me who can only rarely afford the cherry on top which are most Padrons costing over 40. Back to this one. Looks rugged and sloppily rolled - but I have the feeling this is on purpose, because the construction is absolutely flawless, with excellent consistency and fluent, undistubed and even burn. A Padron is a Padron, right? Now for the tasting experience. Rough, yet refined. The creaminess smoothens out the harsh aromas of wet forest soils, dark wood and roasted coffee. The mixture though is delicious. Each toke was a pleasure. Even towards the end it doesn t get spicy in a bad sense and of course there's other kicks of flavours here and there from toasted nuts, hay, dried flowers and raisins. All in all it felt like those very rare times you pay for business class but end up in the first class. For the money - a delicay. Not best for the money, but hei... a Padron is a Padron. Clear recommandation. Peace and love, my Gz!

Nice surprise again from Asylum. 2 hours of smoking enjopyment. The stick looks and feels solid, well built, a bit maybe too airy for my taste - but it had a great steady burn all the way. Taste wise is all about the wood. A nice mixture of old forest trees, toasted leaves, slightly spicy here and there and with hints of grass, fruits and coffee. Becomes more nutty in the second part which was a welcomed surprise. All in all it feels just like late autumn in the woods - when the air is crisp yet still full of strong aromas. Would I smoke this again? For this price for sure yes! Should you? If you like solid flavours definitely yes. Maybe not the best first try ever if you're new to cigars. Peace and love!

I think my stick had a problem, since I've hustled with it for 20 minutes only to realise it was way too wet in the core. Construction seemed solid, but the draw was no bueno. Also it was going off every 4-5 puffs. After stopping I cut the bastard to see what the problem was and yes - was wet-ish in the core so I had to put the reject in the trash. Regardless- it is a very very aromatic stick. Very sweet - cotton candy like. Coffee and chocolate are punchy, but the whole flavour stuff was too much for me - not my style of cigar. If you like sweet notes and the impression that you smoke a candy - go for it you might like it. Otherwise - for "classic" cigar smokers a definitely no go. I would also not recommend such a smoke to beginners - not to get the wrong idea about cigars. Peace and love y'all!

Lasted for almost two hours. And this is not just the size - but thanks to the great quality in processing and the proper consistency of leaves. A solid stick from all sides - looks, feel, taste. Decently creamy and stronger than expected for a light cover. The aromas play around the wood, hay and dry arid soils area - so the creaminess is a real life saver with this mix. There's also some old leather, raisins and nuts flavours kicking in here and there. All in all it feels like having a beer with your good uncle. Nothing out of the ordinary - but as pleasant, cosy feeling. Would I smoke it again? Well, for the price I am sure there are better options, but why not. Curious to try other formats and sticks from these guys for sure. Should you smoke it? If you want something new it is definitely worth a try. Peace and love!

I've smoked it on a walk by the Rhine today - for about 70-80 minutes. I have to agree I was not expecting anything over average, but I was wrong. First things first - I love the consistency. It is also rolled very well. The label looks good, but the paper is hard to take off (could have been a bit better in quality because the smoke is). Could smell the nicaraguan vibe from the cold draw - with a certain mix of strong woods and wet, fat land soils. The level of creaminess is just right, and the aroma mix is just the way I like it. Plenty of wood flavours, a mix of soils, a bit spicy but just enough to know you smoke a cigar and not eat a cake. Grassy notes are present also, nutty aromas here and there, leather can be felt too and slight hints of coffee and chocolate. A super solid smoke for the price. All in all it feels like... coziness. It feels like being home after a hard day out and about. It feels right. I got the whole package so will test the small and the big version too and I can definitely recommend it. I think it is a good start for beginners too, especially that it has an excellent price/quality ratio and is not strong enough to kill a baby smoker, yet enough to satisfy even an OG. Peace and love!

Rocky Patel has some great sticks, like the Sixty or the ALR second edition, but most of their sticks are just like this one - boring. Well rolled, decent draw, good burn, even the consistency is ok, and the taste... the same "ok". There's flavours don't get me wrong - but they are....weak. You feel some woody notes, coffee and some dark soils but it's not a good quality mix. Can't say bad either. Just dull. Smoked it for about 70 minutes and was not impressed at all. All in all it feels like Tuesday morning on a 9 to 5 job. Unfortunately not a recommendation from my side. Peace and love!

Smoked it for about 90 minutes. Decent smoke. Well rolled. Good consistency. Nice punchy soil-wood aromas in the cold draw. Label reminds me of Oscar Valladeers design. Easy to smoke in general. Medium strength. Plenty of cream and aromas on the rough side - dark muds, pepper, toast and coffee, hard essence woods. Some hints of old raisins. The kind of smoke that goes well with spirits. Not bad at all, with the only drawback that for this price - Nicaragua cigars have much more to offer. I know- I expect a lot but competition is really tough these days from Nicaragua. One example that quickly comes to mind would be Joya Silver in Toro format. All in all it feels like when you have the type of job that pays well, you can do it neatly, yet feel like something is missing. Would I smoke this again? Would rather try more from these guys. Should you? Well if you like to experiment and curious of new stuff yes definitely. Maybe not the best fit for beginners. It is a good smoke all in all. Peace and love!
