Les Wood Estates

Les Wood is one of a long line of English pipe makers who have already retired or will soon retire.

Like many others before and after him, Les Wood worked at and for Dunhill for 19 years. His main task was silver work. His wife Dolly also worked for Dunhill and was responsible for finishing.

In 1982 he set up his own business, making pipes together with his wife.

Les Wood pipes are classic English in the best sense of the word, and are often thicker-walled and larger than Dunhill pipes, for example.

9mm drillings are also common.

In the meantime, Les Wood has largely withdrawn from the business, and its pipes are very rare to find.

The pipes shown here are, to the best of our knowledge, refurbished pipes that have already been smoked (Estates).
