Dirk Heinemann found like many before him interest in pipemaking by pipesmoking. And not long time ago, he completed his product-design graduation.

Before that, he joined a carpenter apprenticeship which is surely not the worst training to work with wood.

With all this, he has much more "Background" than many other pipemakers. And when you look at his works, you see clear influences by Werner Mummert, Holmer Knudsen, Tom Eltang and Cornelius Manz.

Uncompromising Quality

Dirk pays big attention to perfect workmanship. The mouthpiece is just as important as the bowl to him, which pays out when you look and feel the fantastic thin and beautifully crafted bite. He only uses German ebonite rods. With applications, he stays true to his line only to use natural materials. Decorative woods, horn, or mammoth-ivory are used for decoration of his pipes. Dirk makes filter - as well as filterless pipes.

The prophet in his own country

Dirk ist not very well known in Germany. The biggest part of his production of approximately 100 pipes per year is sold mainly in the USA, China, and Japan. It's all the more beautiful to be able to offer his pipes now at Cigarworld.de !
