Johs Pipes Freehand

Do you still know Bjarne Nielsen pipes? The brand unfortunately disappeared rather abruptly in 2008 when Bjarne died unexpectedly.

What many people don't know is that Bjarne Nielsen never made a pipe himself. They were made by Mogens Johansen - who continued to make the pipes after 2008 under the name "Johs Pipes".

Mogens, the maker of Johs Pipes, is thus one of the few pipe makers who still make inexpensive, handmade pipes in Denmark today.

Mogens, who was born in 1953, has been doing this for quite some time, since 1992 even full-time. At the same time, he ran a small tobacco shop in Frederikshavn that was very well known among German tourists.

With a Johs Pipe, you get a handmade pipe that is as Danish as it gets. You will rarely find strictly classic designs, but Danish classics are all the more common.

They are honest pipes that are made for one thing above all: Optimal smoking enjoyment and pleasure in the feel.
