Kirsch Pipes Freehands

Anyone who drives through Mecklenburg is easy to rave about. The wide area, the horizon always visible, the gently rolling landscape, the scattered places, the rustic villages, the sea on the doorstep. This is the home of Roland Kirsch, pipemaker with body and soul.

The fact that he is a master carpenter was not necessarily a hindrance when he decided to build pipes in 2013. He learned the neat construction, the systematic and orderly procedure from the bottom up. This is one of the characteristics that you can still feel in him and his pipes to this day. Everything here has “hands and feet”, is solid and very precise.

If you look at his pipes, you will not be able to dismiss a Danish influence. In terms of design and construction, too, there are certainly borrowings from the Danish series pipe making of bygone days. As a rule, one can assume that his pipes have a 9mm bore and are more “meaty” and more voluminous in appearance.

For him, this is not a concession to the market - because this style is popular - rather it reflects his own taste and is an expression of his own understanding of the aesthetics of pipes. Incidentally, this does not mean that he does not build light, delicate pipes without a filter.

As you can see, however, most of his pipes have a 9mm drilling. If this is not the case, we have already mentioned it in the name.

We are pleased to now have Roland Kirsch pipes in our range and hope that you can also be enthusiastic about these great unique pieces!
