Nils Bräutigam Freehand

The Nils Bräutigam Freehand Pipes are individually handcrafted pieces shaped by the pipemaker's creative vision rather than a fixed design template. A variety of bowl shapes, distinctive finishes and carefully selected materials give each pipe its own character. These models are primarily aimed at pipe enthusiasts who appreciate individual craftsmanship and are looking for an alternative to traditional production pipes.

Nils Bräutigam: Freehand Pipes from Thuringia

Nils Bräutigam comes from the Eichsfeld region of Thuringia and has been making pipes since 2017. Before that, he spent many years gaining artistic experience in painting, sculpture and, in particular, tattooing. This artistic background is clearly reflected in his work. Rather than limiting himself to traditional pipe shapes, he experiments with unusual proportions, expressive finishes and different materials. Each Freehand Pipe is individually crafted in his workshop. His two lines, Barbarossa and Rotbart, differ mainly in their filter configurations. The names refer to the nearby Kyffhäuser mountain range and Bräutigam's red beard.
