CPW Meerschaum Pipes

Meerschaum pipes have become a sought-after rarity within the German tobacco specialists. A major factor in this was an export ban on the raw material in Turkey. So pipe makers in Europe cannot easily buy meerschaum blocks. Therefore, block meerschaum pipes nowadays come almost exclusively directly from the country of origin, Turkey.

There are a few companies and pipe carvers there that are worth taking a closer look at. The company CPW Meerschaum has been established for several years and has numerous customers worldwide. They specialize primarily in the production of Calabash pipes with block meerschaum insert.

But traditional meerschaum pipes are also made. Neatly manufactured mouthpieces, the best, very light and porous meerschaum as well as a 9mm filter drillings are the features that distinguish them. The Teflon tenons are not glued, only screwed. This is done to ensure a uniform coloring that would be disturbed by chemical substances (glue).

Each pipe is marked with the abbreviation of the respective maker and is delivered with an individually manufactured case. We are curious how your feedback will turn out, this first range is a "test balloon". Should these pipes meet with a broad positive response, we will expand it.
