Dunhill Pipe concept Whitespot Eiffel Tower Pipe

The Dunhill Eiffel Tower Pipe is an ambitious project that began on March 15, 2007. The goal of this endeavor is to create a pipe that sets new standards in execution and design. This is not just about creating a pipe, but a fusion of various artistic crafts. Jewelry making, carpentry, blacksmithing, engraving, and bookbinding come together to create a product of extraordinary quality.

Over a period of five years, this plan is implemented by experts from various crafts, utilizing the finest materials and their comprehensive expertise. Selecting the Briar wood for the pipe is a particularly demanding process, involving the consideration of over 200 wood blocks until one meets the high quality standards.

The Eiffel Tower part of the pipe, made from 18-carat gold, is a work of art in itself. It is adorned with a wealth of gemstones – 492 diamonds, 140 sapphires, and 20 rubies – reflecting the colors of the French Tricolor. A prominent feature is the cornflower blue sapphire at the top of the tower. A hidden flap door reveals a compartment for the tamper, inspired by the obelisk at Place de la Concorde.

The accessories and the cabinet in which the pipe is stored are also richly detailed. The cabinet is adorned with exotic woods and bears a medallion depicting a scene from the construction of the Eiffel Tower. It contains a collection of five books dealing with the history of the Eiffel Tower and the Paris World's Fair. Hidden elements like a secret drawer and bronze plates with references to Gustave Eiffel and the Eiffel Tower highlight the uniqueness of this artwork.
