Fassi Pipes Freehand

Angelo Fassi is a rather new pipe maker from the Italian pipe scene. He made his first pipe in 2008 on a course with Bertram Safferling.

Angelo Fassi is a dentist by profession, but has a ‘past life’ as a professional judoka. Brazilian bossa nova and amateur radio also play an important role in his life.

These diverse interests are also reflected in the design of his pipes, which have both classical and Italian baroque echoes.

He is well connected with many Italian pipe makers and is a member of the Accademia della Pipa. He often appears at pipe fairs in a ‘double pack’ with Roberto Franzini. He is a good friend of him, to whom he has significantly recommended pipe making.

Fassi pipes are characterised by elegant shapes, fantastic wood and an extremely attractive price-performance ratio. You will find few other handmade pipes at the same level for less.
