Peter Hedegaard Freehands
Peter Hedegaard has long been part of the W.Ø. Larsen and learned from such renowned pipe makers as Former, Teddy Knudsen and Poul Ilsted. After a short time he established his own design language and decided to try his luck as an independent pipe maker.
His journey took him from Copenhagen via Helsingør to Fredrikshavn in northern Denmark, where he had grown up. His freehand pipes are characterized above all by their harmonious design combined with first-class workmanship. Most of all, Peter's joy in developing new shapes is remembered by many pipe enthusiasts, so among his works you will find classic shapes that, with a twinkle in their eye, have got their very own touch, but also completely new and unique shapes such as a faceted variant of the horn.
When Peter Hedegaard died in early 2007, the pipe community mourned one of their most extraordinary and best pipe makers.
Peter Hedegaard's freehands are very rare collectibles around the world.
