Peterson Sherlock Holmes

Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipes belong to the most well known and most successfull collections of the Irish tradional pipemaker. In 1987 the "originial Collection" was introduced to the market. It was inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his most prominent protagonist, Sherlock Holmes.

Sherlock Holmes Pipes have names and shapes that are influenced by characters and motifs of Doyle's work.

These pipes were firstly introduced in two finishes, rustic and terracotta. Later on, smooth black and sandblasted surfaces were added. Some very rare Sherlock Holmes pipes were made from Meerschaum. Pipedealers were equipped with a special seven-day pipetray which has become a sought after collectors piece in the meantime.

In the 1990s, several other shapes were added, named "The Return of Sherlock Holmes".

In the beginning 2010s, a very popular finish was added, the darker "Contrast" Finish.

Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipes are internationally popular, this is the reason why not all shapes and finishes are constantly available.

Pipes are with or without P-Lip available. All mouthpieces are made from vulcanite, and as usual for the German market, made for 9mm filters. Surfaces are waxed, and shanks are fitted with a wide sterling silver ring.
