Rossi Vintage for Tabac Benden

When we visited Savinelli in October 2023, we stumbled across old, pre-turned bowls that had a decent layer of dust on them, but were otherwise in good shape.

These were old Savinelli shapes that had not been produced for several decades. In addition, the quality of the wood was not good enough to make anything expensive out of it. So the pre-turned heads were forgotten over the years.

We came up with the idea of making something out of them, and Savinelli agreed to make a few pipes for us.

The result is the Rossi Vintage for Tabac Benden pipes with incredibly good smoking behaviour. The wood has had time to mature and dry over the years. In addition, you get shapes that have not been available in the standard range for decades.

Rossi is a second brand of Savinelli. Rossi was once the largest pipe manufacturer in the world. The manufacturer now offers inexpensive but solidly made pipes under this name.
