Some things only get real character when they look used and have a patina. In the case of pipes, this always applies to a certain extent.
Vauen uses this approach with the "Vintage" to give the pipes a "smoked" expression. To do this, dark stain is applied to the brownish bowl of the pipe and is blurrily sanded off again.
As a result, the edge of the bowl has a significantly darker color.
We think: a pleasantly expressive finish and an interesting approach!
