Pipe Republic – Pipe Tobacco and Pipes

Pipe Republic – Our Passion, Our Tobaccos

Pipes and pipe tobacco are our passion. So, at some point, it seemed only natural to develop our own blends. Under the name Pipe Republic, we created a brand that reflects our personal approach and today brings together a variety of pipe tobaccos and a small selection of our own pipes.

It all began with a healthy dose of curiosity and the desire to put our own ideas into practice. Alongside our extensive range of tobaccos from other manufacturers, we wanted to develop blends that would fill particular niches and deliberately stand apart from standard, everyday recipes.

Pipe Tobacco from Pipe Republic: Blends and Classics

The pipe tobaccos from Pipe Republic offer a diverse selection of tobacco blends – from natural Virginia tobaccos and spicy Latakia blends to flavoured varieties. While Pipe Republic Blends stand out for their distinctive recipes, Pipe Republic Classics offer their own interpretations of traditional tobacco styles.

Pipe Republic Blends – Our Own In-House Creations

The story of our own pipe tobaccos began with Pipe Republic Blends. We spent around a year developing the recipes. Our goal was not simply to recreate familiar blends, but to develop our own combinations of high-quality base tobaccos, different cuts and – where appropriate – complementary flavourings.

The Blends are correspondingly diverse. Botany Bay, for example, combines Virginia with a generous portion of Perique and contains no added flavouring. Folkestone takes a distinctly more aromatic direction with Black Cavendish, maple syrup and bourbon vanilla. The range also includes Virginia flakes, English blends with Latakia and other flavoured pipe tobaccos. Achieving a dry, clean burn was another important goal right from the start of development.

Pipe Republic Classics – Classic Tobacco Styles Reinterpreted

The Pipe Republic Classics complement the more experimental Blends with distinctive interpretations of classic tobacco styles. These include Virginia tobaccos such as Bloemfontein, spicy combinations of Virginia and Kentucky such as St. Barry, as well as blends featuring Perique, Oriental tobacco, Cavendish or traditional Lakeland-style flavouring. The differences between the individual Classics are entirely intentional.

Over the past few years, the Classics were listed under various brands in our online shop, including Tabac Benden and CIGARWORLD PIPES. Today, we bring them together with the Blends under Pipe Republic, giving both pipe tobacco ranges a shared home.

Pipes from Pipe Republic: Made in England

Pipe Republic is not exclusively about pipe tobacco. The brand also includes the small Pipe Republic Made in England range, featuring classic briar pipes crafted in England. This brings us full circle to where Pipe Republic originally began: our enthusiasm for pipes and pipe tobacco.
