PL88 tobacco

PL 88 is an old German brand with a long tradition in fine-cut tobacco.

It was once produced by Planta in Berlin, and was mainly known for its menthol tobacco, as well as for all-natural tobaccos.

In the meantime, PL88 is produced by Mac Baren, a pipe tobacco manufacturer in Denmark, which has had a very positive effect on the tobacco quality.

The PL 88 Virginia Blend consists mainly of very finely cut, light Virginia that has been refined with a portion of Greek Oriental tobacco. Due to its fine cut it can be stuffed well, but also rolled.

The PL 88 Vintage Blend also has a Virginia base, which was supplemented with a higher portion of Oriental tobacco. It does completely without humectants and sauces, so it tends to be a little drier. The cut is a little wider, which makes it perfect for stuffing.

Both tobaccos can also be smoked without problems in shag pipes.

Moreover, both varieties are classic cigarette tobaccos, not volume tobaccos. They are therefore much more productive and burn slower and more evenly.
