Kopp Wood Series

With the Kopp Wood Series, woody notes take center stage in a distinctive pipe tobacco series. Six blends capture the character of selected woods and combine it with carefully matched tobacco compositions. The spectrum ranges from elegant spice and fresh, balsamic impressions to warm, gentle nuances. Kopp brings this concept together under the name Woodland. The series is therefore aimed primarily at experienced pipe smokers looking to discover unusual flavor combinations in pipe tobacco.

Kopp Wood Series: The Idea Behind Woodland

The idea for the Wood Series came from Oliver Kopp. Together with Master Blender Thomas Nitsche, he developed the sensory direction of the six wood characters. Nitsche then translated these concepts into individual recipes, carefully balancing the tobaccos and flavoring. The series also reflects this concept visually: the labels designed by Oliver Kopp feature wood textures inspired by each theme, giving the six blends a cohesive and clearly recognizable identity.

Six Kopp Pipe Tobaccos with Six Wood Characters

Wood I interprets Limousin wood, placing its elegant spice at the forefront. Wood II takes a distinctly fresher and lighter direction with lemon wood. In Wood III, cedar wood defines the warm character, while Wood IV uses frankincense wood to explore deeper and more mysterious nuances. Wood V is dedicated to distinctive guaiac wood, adding a particularly unique facet to the series. The collection concludes with Wood VI, featuring sandalwood and its gentle, refined character. Together, the six pipe tobaccos demonstrate the many different ways woody notes can be interpreted – a series for connoisseurs looking to explore something new beyond classic flavor profiles.
