Original Danish Black V (formerly: Unitas/Planta)
The family business Planta was founded in Berlin in 1956 and had its headquarters there until 2019. Today, the company belongs to Mac Baren, where the tobacco is now also produced.
In addition to their own creations, among which "Danish Black V" is by far the best known, they also started early to import pipe tobaccos from other countries.
The "Danish Black V" (formerly Black Vanilla) is characterised by its typical vanilla note. The blend consists of a high proportion of Black Cavendish and an admixture of Burley. The structure of the tobacco is long-fibred and very soft in the smoke.
