Mixture 79 (US-mixture) pipe tobacco
With Mixture 79, we have one of the US "OTC" blends rarely represented on the German market, which are available in every shop selling tobacco products there.
It has remained on the market for decades, and apparently rightly so. Because the Burley-based blend actually offers everything you would expect from a pipe tobacco.
It has a tobacco flavour, an aroma that is difficult to define (anise, vanilla, whiskey), uncomplicated burning and a pleasant smell for the "fellow smokers".
The fact that this blend is only available in 200g tins speaks for the brand loyalty of its fans.
