Solani Collection

One might associate the name "Solani" with something Italian. In fact, this series of pipe tobaccos comes from the East Westphalian (German) town of Bünde, once the centre of the German tobacco industry. Nevertheless, the name is of Romanic origin, as it derives from the Latin word "Solanum". This is what botanists call the genus of the nightshade family, which also includes tobacco.

The range of Solani pipe tobaccos certainly has something for everyone. Solani Gold, for example, is a traditional English blend of Virginias, Orientals and Latakia. Solani Red, on the other hand, is lightly flavoured with tropical aromas and a pinch of single malt scotch, which makes up its typical taste.

But friends of stronger flavours get their money's worth, for example with Solani Festival. It convinces with the intense taste of forest fruits, vanilla and plum. Not quite as aromatic, but just as fruity is the Tropical Flake, whose flavour is determined not only by mango, but also by passion fruit.
