Three Nuns pipe tobacco

Three Nuns pipe tobacco is one of the most traditional names among classic pipe tobaccos. Today, the focus is on Three Nuns Original with its characteristic Curly Cut. With this type of cut, the tobacco leaves are first formed into a rope and then sliced into compact discs. The blend is aimed primarily at experienced pipe smokers who prefer a largely natural tobacco character and traditional processing.

Three Nuns: Pipe Tobacco with over 120 Years of History

The history of Three Nuns dates back to the 1890s. The blend was developed by J & F Bell in Glasgow. Over the following decades, ownership changed hands, and the recipe did not remain entirely unchanged either. Nevertheless, Three Nuns endured these changes and remains one of the best-known historic pipe tobacco blends to this day. From 2013, Three Nuns was produced by Mac Baren. Since the acquisition of Mac Baren in 2024, production has been handled by Scandinavian Tobacco Group.

Three Nuns Original: Classic Curly-Cut Pipe Tobacco

Three Nuns Original continues the series' long history as a balanced Curly Cut blend. The pressed and subsequently sliced tobacco discs can be loosened before packing or placed more compactly into the pipe, depending on the preferred method. In terms of flavor, the blend is rounded and aromatic without overshadowing the natural character of the tobacco. This makes Three Nuns Original particularly appealing to pipe smokers who appreciate classic tobacco blends and the distinctive handling of a Curly Cut.
