Gawith Hoggarth Snuff

It is 1792 and we are in the small town of Kendal, England. Up to now, the textile industry has been the main industry here, but tobacco from the colonies, which is quite new, is becoming more and more popular and a Mr Harrison has decided to set up a snuff mill.
His daughter married a certain Samuel Gawith and now, at the latest, pipe smokers are beginning to see the light:
This is the same Samuel Gawith who delights us with his excellent pipe tobaccos.
When Samuel Junior (at the age of only 22) had to take over the company, he was assisted by a number of trustees, one of whom was Henry Hoggarth.
For many years this went well and both Samuel and his brother and Henry Hoggarth ran an extremely successful business, but in 1878 the brothers split up and divided the company between themselves, what the reason for this was cannot be said for sure to this day, but there are some rumours circulating.
So until 2015, there were two different companies (Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth), which have now merged again and are once more producing their globally popular pipe and snuff tobaccos under one roof.
