Schuster Aniversario

In 2009, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the August Schuster cigar factory in Bünde was celebrated, and this occasion was taken to create a few cigars that were more special than usual. The planning for this started back in 1995, which was a very good harvest year in Brazil. At that time, some special tobacco bales were set aside and carefully aged over the years. Something truly special was to be created for the anniversary.

The Aniversario No. 1 and No. 2 are machine-made at Schuster but contain tobacco from the special tobacco bales that had been waiting for over 10 years in the Schuster's warehouse for their special use. The No. 3 is a handmade long filler from the Tabacalera in Honduras, with which the Schuster family has had a long-standing partnership.

Interesting facts about the August Schuster cigar factory

In 1909, August Schuster founded the eponymous cigar factory in Bünde, Westphalia. Prior to that, he had been running the Gebr. Schuster manufactory together with his brother for about 10 years. The family tradition dates back to the 18th century and began in the bakery trade, which is where the family motto derives from: "Committed to enjoyment for generations." During the heyday of cigars, the extensive family had a total of 6 factories, and since then, the "Schusters" have proudly produced 16 cigar manufacturers. They continue to maintain this unique tradition worldwide and proudly celebrate their 100th anniversary. Currently, the brothers Manfred and Philipp Schuster are leading the company in the solid tradition of its founders. Only first-class qualities are accepted, and only products made from 100% tobacco are produced, both in their own products and in the imported long fillers. Many excellent cigar shops today carry the ever-popular products from Bünde. Notable names include Partageno, Lepanto, Cardenal Mendoza, Casa de Torres, Brazil Trüllerie, and Maria Mancini. All of these brands have been on the market for decades and have made their mark in cigar history.
