The brand Oud Kampen exclusively produces machine-made Dutch-style short-filler cigars (which means they are stored dry). Founded in 1977, these cigarillos and cigars quickly gained a large number of enthusiasts. Tobacco from Indonesia (Sumatra and Java), Havana, and Brazil are used in their production. Noble sand leaves (light wrappers from the base of the plant) are used as wrappers to provide the connoisseur with a well-rounded blend both visually and in terms of flavor.
The Oud Kampen cigars are not really mild cigarillos but are more suitable for the slightly experienced smoker.
They are available in various pack sizes, with the Amadeus (a larger panetela format) and the Elite (a classic, smaller cigarillo) being the most well-known.
