Graycliff Professional (BLUE)
The Blue Label Professional from Graycliff pays tribute to the Original Red Label Blend with its smooth-burning wrapper from Indonesia and the filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Brazil.
The five vitolas (formats) of the Blue Label are a real beauty, as the wrapper makes a lighter appearance virtually without any visible veins. Furthermore, there is a much larger share of tobacco from Brazil, which results in a much smoother and creamy finish.
This brand is only one of the world, produced in the Bahamas. Enrico Garzaroli Avelino Lara took on the island, the legendary torcedor from Cuba. Cigars by Graycliff polarize, the booth at the tobacco trade show in the United States always provided with plenty of glitter and glamor - a cigar for the selfconfident smoker!
The Italian Enrico Garzaroli visited the Bahamas first in 1973. Here he discovered within this paradise the 260 year old mansion Graycliff. This colonial jewel he bought from Lord and Lady Dudley, and transformed it into an internationally renowned five star hotel with one of the best restaurants in the entire Caribbean. The famous wine cellar holds over 175.000 of the finest wines - including the oldest wine (Acts wine) from 1727 Bremer Schlosskellerei.
As a cuban aficionado Enrico Garzaroli often went to Cuba, where he finally got to know Avelino Lara, who is known as the King of torcedores (cigar roller). Lara was then longtime director of El Laguito the birthplace of the famous cuban Cohiba.
He was also responsible for Fidel Castro's cigars, he rolled the cigar for Fidel's personal use. He called the Trinidad brand to life, which were originally intended only for state guests. He was also responsible for the creation of Vitola de Galera Laguito number 1 and Laguito number 2 for Zino Davidoff, when he was still in producing cigars in Cuba.
Garzaroli persuaded Lara to emigrate to the Bahamas in order to manufacture cigars, named after the 5-star hotel "Graycliff". The tobaccos used are all from Central America and Brazil. The wrapper has been grown in Ecuador from Sumatra seed. Graycliff has also built its own tobacco plantations, to avoid possible variations in the quality of the suppliers. The largest share of the tobacco used is now home-grown. Graycliff cigars in Nassau, as are the traditional Cohiba in Havana itself, are produced with a triple fermentation. The rolling method is similar to the ancient tradition of Havana: the filler of the Cigar is bundled by hand and placed into molds for fifteen minutes. The torcedores all come from Cuba and have a long-standing tradition in reputable factories. Annually the two cigar lovers and business partners produce about 600,000 cigars in the traditional Cuban method. Only Avelino and Enrico know exactly what tobacco blend is processed.
All Viola (formats) are long filler cigars (made from whole leaves), and are entirely hand-made jewels. Both Graycliff, as well as Avelino Lara and Garzaroli have committed themselves to absolute quality.
