Jamm
In addition to the classic JAMM Cigars from Brazil, we naturally also carry the premium line featuring three box-pressed vitolas. The fundamental issue with Brazilian cigars in Germany is the 28% import duty, which does not apply to cigars from Honduras, Nicaragua, or the Dominican Republic. As a result, these cigars face a certain initial disadvantage compared to other origins. Nonetheless, we believe the listed prices are entirely fair and reasonable, which means even here you still get a solid “bang for your buck.”
JAMM Premium Cigars: The Unique Box Pressed Series from Brazil
The latest addition to the classic JAMM cigar line, as mentioned, stands out with its rectangular shapes. This is achieved by pressing the finished cigars directly after rolling them in molds for about three days (72 hours), giving them their distinctive appearance in the long term. Interestingly, square cigars taste different from their round counterparts, even when identical tobaccos are used. It's not that the taste shifts in a specific direction — they just taste somehow different. That may sound a bit vague and imprecise, but it’s something you can easily verify for yourself. In the end, it comes down to personal preference — whether you prefer the feel of round or slightly edgy cigars in your mouth while smoking. For example, the manufacturer Plasencia also offers very similar formats in both styles, as you can clearly see with the Plasencia Alma Fuerte Cigars.
Box Pressed vs. Round Cigars: A Unique Smoking Experience with JAMM
The secret lies in the classic blend of JAMM Cigars, which combines the flavors of the leaf blend enhanced by the exclusive terroir of the Bahia region — resulting in this unique taste. Once again, the same blend is essentially used as in the sibling cigars. The wrapper, the binder, and part of the filler are once again characterized by CBA tobacco, with additional regional Brazilian tobaccos also used in the filler.
