Plasencia Alma Fuerte

The Alma Fuerte is one of the series that the cigar family Plasencia launched in 2016. In addition to the Alma Fuerte, the Alma del Campo and Alma del Fuego also made it to Germany. The new series from Plasencia were officially introduced on October 13, 2016, at the New York Carnegie Club, in the presence of Nestor Plasencia.

Plasencia Cigars: Focus on Their Own Name

Nestor Jr. mentioned during his visits to our Cigarworld Lounge that the family produces for many renowned manufacturers in Nicaragua, but they want to establish their own name more strongly. Therefore, in 2016, they founded the own distribution structure Plasencia 1865 in the USA, as a homage to the first year of tobacco planting by the family in Cuba. Additionally, the Spaniard Rodrigo Medina was hired as the "European Ambassador" to represent the brand in Europe.

Plasencia Alma Fuerte: Strong Cigars from Nicaragua

The word Alma means "soul" in Spanish and symbolizes that these cigars represent the essence of the family's production. All the tobaccos used come from family-owned plantations with around 1,200 hectares of cultivation area. The Alma Fuerte is Plasencia's strongest line to date. The wrapper is a Shade-Grown from Jalapa, while the filler and binder are entirely Criollo 98 from the regions of Estelí, Condega, Jalapa, and Ometepe. As with the Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro, the tobaccos of Alma Fuerte are aged for more than 10 years.
