Regalia Fina Cigars

Regalia Fina cigars are rolled from a blend of Brazilian and Cuban tobaccos. In addition to tobacco from Brazil, it is especially that from Havana that makes it possible to create particularly flavorful cigars. The finest raw tobaccos from Bahia, carefully selected and perfectly processed – this is the foundation of these cigars. A spicy aroma, voluminous and smooth, just as one would expect from this provenance – pure Brazilian character.

There are three different longfillers as well as three distinct shortfillers available under this brand. The machine-made shortfillers marked the brand’s beginning and are produced by August Schuster in Bünde. The three longfillers were introduced later.

Regalia Fina: A Symphony of Brazilian and Cuban Tobaccos

In line with the tradition of Europe’s golden age of fine Brazilian cigars, the makers opted for a melange that was typical for premium Brazilian cigars around the turn of the 20th century. The Brazilian leaf stands for sweetness, the Havana for strength – a combination that already thrilled cigar lovers back then. Combined with a Java binder and a fine wrapper from Mata Fina, these shortfillers offer a harmonious and well-balanced smoking experience.

The story behind the creation of the longfillers is as follows: A close friend of the Schuster family planned to retire in the year 2000. While preparing to do so, he discovered a number of treasures still stored in his renowned warehouse of the finest Brazilian tobaccos. Realizing he was far too young for retirement, he decided to return to independent business. After extensive consultation with the Schuster company – true cigar experts when it comes to Brazilian cigars – these wonderful longfillers, crafted entirely by hand in Brazil, were finally brought to market.

Temporary Discontinuation of the Cigar Brand

Initially, these excellent cigars were discontinued around 2010. Of the three original formats (Robusto, Corona, and Toro), we secured the entire remaining stock. At that time, production of the shortfillers in Bünde was also halted in favor of the classic Lepanto and Partageno lines and was only available in leftover stock.

Then, in the summer of 2015, things started up again. The Schusters resumed production of the three shortfillers at their own facility in Bünde. In October, the two longfillers Sao Goncalo and Sao Felipe were reintroduced – rolled from 100% Brazilian tobacco. The original contact or manufacturer of the Schusters in Brazil had completely ceased cigar production. Unfortunately, these limited editions have long since sold out, and a reissue is unlikely due to the unavailability – or extremely limited availability – of suitable Brazilian tobaccos.

Philipp Schuster’s love for Brazilian tobacco – everyone in the industry knows his favorite little cigar, the Brasil Trüllerie Bajazzo – would not let him rest until he found outstanding tobaccos in Brazil and entrusted them to a small, trustworthy tabacalera.
