Woermann Cigars

The manufacturer of these cigars is Woermann Cigars, based in Rödinghausen, located between Bielefeld and Osnabrück. The Woermann family looks back on a long history dating back to its founding in 1890. Over numerous generations, the family has processed tobacco into high-quality cigars and cigarillos. A central part of their range consists of traditional, classic, and mostly mild shortfiller cigars and cigarillos. These are available with either a fine Sumatra or an aromatic Brasil wrapper.

Woermann Cigars: Tradition and Quality since 1890

In 2022, the company was acquired by VCF (Vandermarliere Cigar Family). Since January 1, 2023, the building of Woermann Cigars GmbH has served as the headquarters of VCF Germany, from where specialist retailers are supplied with brands from VCF and J. Cortes, the brands previously distributed by Wolfertz GmbH, as well as Woermann Cigars’ own products. Unfortunately, as is so often the case with acquisitions, the range was also significantly streamlined or reduced.

VCF Acquisition: New Era for Woermann Cigars

The cigars presented here are made using Piloto Dominicano and Olor tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, as well as Indonesian Java. Depending on the variant, the wrapper is either another Sumatra or a Brasil. These very affordable cigars, produced in Germany, offer an honest and “clean” tobacco flavor that leans toward the mild end of the scale.
