Adrian Magnus Millennium

The Zigars by Adrian Magnus first reached us in the summer of 2025. At Intertabac 2025 in Dortmund, this cigar brand had quite an impressive booth and introduced itself to the German and international trade scene. The information provided by the company is certainly “nicely presented,” but unfortunately not as detailed as we would prefer. As always, our approach is this: every new line that is (legally) imported to Germany, we list for our customers. Yes, every single one – we do not presume to decide whether or not a cigar deserves to be included; our goal is to offer aficionados the widest possible selection. The rest is decided by the market – and by aficionados themselves.
Adrian Magnus Cigars: A Brand Rooted in Geneva with a Passion for Tobacco
A brief aside: on one hand, we’re surprised by the sales numbers of certain well-known cigars; on the other, some of our team’s personal favorites only sell in homeopathic quantities – even after a long time. That keeps us grounded and teaches us humility – we definitely don’t decide what you should smoke; it’s all about the journey! These cigars from the Dominican Republic are – as I’ll mention again later – very well suited to both beginners and more experienced lovers of milder cigars.
Adrian Magnus Millennium Series: Aged Tobacco and a Mild Flavor Profile
Now, back to the cigars from Adrian Magnus. According to their brochure, three friends in Geneva, Switzerland shared a passion: a love for exceptional cigars. Over the years, they developed the desire to create a brand of their own. Their journey began with in-depth research and numerous trips to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. In these countries – where cigars hold deep cultural significance – they immersed themselves in the world of tobacco cultivation and artisanal production. They came to understand the diversity of tobacco types and discovered how tradition and passion come together to create outstanding flavor. Out of this experience, the Adrian Magnus brand was born in 2020.
Dominican Cigars for Beginners: Mild, Floral, and Crafted with Great Skill
The different lines can best be distinguished by the number on the cigar band (anilla), which indicates the years the tobacco has been aged. The Adrian Magnus Millennium Cigars presented here are made using tobacco aged for five years and represent the entry-level price point in this young cigar brand’s portfolio. The wrapper used is a Connecticut Shade from Ecuador, underneath which lies a Dominican binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. According to the manufacturer, these cigars are “full-bodied” – but I’d disagree. I tried an Adrian Magnus Millennium Robusto as a test stick, and I would certainly describe it as notably mild, not just because of its light wrapper. The craftsmanship was flawless, and the flavor was typical for a Connecticut. That means the expected floral and herbal notes were clearly present. I barely noticed any pepper, maybe just a hint of nuttiness. The harmony of the blend was quite convincing.
