Aging Room Maduro

The cigars of Rafael Nodal's brand Aging Room are all so-called boutique cigars, whose tobaccos are only available in limited quantities. Therefore, these blends are inevitably limited editions; once the designated tobacco bales are used up, production is halted.

The three most popular formats of the initially introduced "regular" M 356 were also introduced in a Maduro variant in 2013. A very dark, oily Maduro wrapper from Nicaragua serves as the capa, while the binder and the entire filler blend are classic tobaccos grown in the Dominican Republic.

In terms of flavor, they are "Maduros with turbo," meaning the blend is stronger than usual for this type of cigar, featuring a lot of pepper accompanied by notes of coffee and nuts. The strength increases as you smoke it – not for beginners!

Besides SWAG, the Aging Room cigars are the most well-known brands from Boutique Blends, led by Rafael Nodal. The producer is José "Jochi" Blanco, who manufactures Rafael's cigars in his Tabacalera La Palma in the Dominican Republic. In recent years, the collaboration between the two has been very successful; for example, in 2013, their Aging Room Small Batch F55 was selected as the second-best cigar of the year by the US cigar magazine Cigar Aficionado.
