DAG Por DAG
This series is a reflection of the collected tobacco knowledge of Günther Schichl and at the same time, of Dominican tobacco culture. It combines the knowledge of tobacco cultivation, considering the microclimatic peculiarities of the Dominican Republic. The selection of the blend and the choice of formats for this line of cigars have been harmoniously coordinated.
In the filler, Criollo 98 takes a prominent role. The tobaccos used, two parts Ligero and one part Viso, come from Tabacalera Altagracia as well as Flor de los Reyes and Tobacco Luis Reyes. The characteristics of these three tobaccos also reflect the peculiarities of the three different microclimates and cultivation methods. In the filler of DAGporDAG, there are also proportions of San Vicente (Seco) and Olor Carbonell ("Carbonell's original tobacco"), both cultivated by Tabacalera Altagracia. This aromatic to robust blend is nestled in a Criollo 98 wrapper.
This series is essentially the significantly bolder "sister" of the regular DAG cigars from the Dominican Republic and is available in 5 different vitolas. Particularly interesting is the unusual double figurado format, La Gordita. By the way, "La Gordita" translates to "the little chubby one," though "little" is quite an understatement for a cigar with a 5-inch length... ;-)
