Dominican Santiago Selection DSS

Manufactured by Charles Fairmorn in their own factory in the Dominican Republic, these long-filler cigars offer excellent craftsmanship for a relatively small price. They are mild cigars with subtle aromas of leather, and hints of earthy coffee notes surprise the palate.

The filler blend of the Dominican Santiago Selection (DSS) cigars consists of Dominican Olor and Piloto, with a small addition of Nicaraguan tobacco. A Dominican Piloto binder provides the pleasant spiciness, while the Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador imparts the elegant, mild character to the cigar. During the tasting, we could detect hints of vanilla, anise, and cinnamon.

These true premium long-fillers are packed in bundles to make the affordable price possible. Nowadays, all cigars from Charles Fairmorn are distributed in Germany by the distributor Kleinlagel from Bruchsal. A noteworthy detail about this series is that they were one of the first long-filler cigars to be introduced in Germany as bundles. We are still surprised by the almost extreme diversity of formats in this brand, with around twenty different vitolas!

From the same Dominican Tabacalera, you can also find the medium-fillers of the Quisqueya brand family, offered in the Classic, Maduro, and Forte variants. These are even more affordable and also enjoy great popularity.
