Dunhill 1907

Addendum from July 2019: The brand owner of Dunhill has withdrawn completely (!) from the tobacco sector due to socio-political considerations and has therefore not renewed any licensing agreements. This has affected not only the cigars but also the Dunhill pipe tobaccos in 2018. The importer Kohlhase & Kopp has now sold us their complete remaining stock of Dunhill 1907 cigars. With our "combined" efforts, we have been able to secure very pleasing bargains; the cigars have been reduced by about 40% to just under 50%! Take your time to read the reviews; at these prices, you should definitely have tried them! If you should discover your new favorite cigar - no worries, we have a four-digit number of boxes available for our customers... ;-)
Description of the Cigar Series
For over 100 years, the name Dunhill has been a synonym for the finest and most exclusive cigars, pipes, and tobaccos. On July 7, 1907, Alfred Dunhill opened his first store in the renowned Duke Street 31A in London. Since that time, the brand's reputation has steadily grown and at times included Cuban cigars, which still achieve very high prices at auctions today, as they have not been produced for a long time.
The new 1907 by Dunhill cigars are thus a homage to the place where everything began. In the heart of London, over 100 years ago, the Dunhill brand and myth were established.
The 1907 by Dunhill cigars are hand-rolled cigars produced in the Dominican Republic. In terms of flavor, they fill the gap in the portfolio as medium-strength long-filler cigars between the milder, more straightforward Dunhill Aged Cigars (those with blue-white packaging) and those of the Signed-Range series (dark red packs and boxes from Nicaragua) which are more robust in nature.
The focus of this series is clearly on the perfection of the blend and less on elaborate packaging design. The four vitolas: Churchill, Robusto, Rothschild, and Toro (this one is box-pressed) are packaged in 18-count wooden boxes intentionally kept simple.
For the filler, raw tobaccos from Dominican Olor and Piloto are used, nestled in a binder of Dominican Olor and finished with a Honduras Osa Viso wrapper. This imparts the 1907 cigars with an aromatic breadth, providing a medium-strength body. In terms of taste, creamy notes of caramel emerge in the first third, underscored by subtle nuances of chocolate.
