Strength:medium// Smoke volume: average first half , average + rest// Duration: 60mins// Wrapper Aroma: cocoa, earthy, honey, musty //Cold Draw: earthy, musty, cedar, spice, cocoa, floral //Burn: gets uneven and needs to relight couple times //Draw: very loose //Construction: few large veins, few soft spots noted //Band: looks very nice //Taste strength: first: 3.75/5, second:4.5/5 , last: 3.5/5 //Taste profile: _1/3: musty, dark chocolate ,earthy, cedar, cafe late, cream, vanilla, almond, orange peel, dried apple, honey, spice (cardamom and cinnamon), //_2/3: cedar, almond, raisin, chocolate, malt, cream, salted caramel, cardamom, zesty, vanilla, floral. //_3/3: musty, earthy, light grassy, bitter almond, espresso, leather, black pepper. //Overall a complex cigar better to pair with something light to taste all notes. //Smoking experience: starts out with musty notes of earth and cedar immediately accompanying cream with orange peel and almond taste, few piffs in baking spice(cardamom and cinnamon )starts to creep in Later dried apple and vanilla joins for few puffs and leaving soon after, exchange continues, dark chocolate comes and goes and keeps building intensity in terms of flavour strength. Base it made of the opening taste notes in first third. //Second third begins musty cedar takes the lead along with salted caramel, almond, chocalate and cream (main notes of 2/3) while other notes support it (Chk 2/3 taste profile) the support notes keep exchanging to create complexity and transition, smoke volume has increased and so is the taste intensity //Last third begins leaving me disappointed as no cream present and bitterness creeps in earthy notes are back here , black pepper and leather joins in, almond is now bitter almond here earthy, Leather, bitter almond and black pepper makes up the base profile rest are support. //Relight done at the end of first third and in the middle of last third, correction made 3 times. //Medium finish of musty almond //This cigar does have that unique taste you get from all PDR cigars // Quality is missing in terms of price ratio for this size, big issue with construction and burn// Enjoyed first two thirds.
