Jose Dominguez Colorado Maduro

These cigars are named after the master blender José Dominguez, who manages the Victor Sinclair factory in the Dominican Republic. Everything from Victor Sinclair is imported to Germany by Dalay Cigars, so naturally, this one also carries the name of its "creator" for the first time.

José opted for a Maduro wrapper from Brazil and a rare Cameroon binder. For the filler, tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic were used, along with a US Pennsylvania leaf.

Some may initially find the product designation somewhat misleading, as both Colorado and Maduro are mentioned: However, it is the term for a slightly lighter Maduro, with a chocolate-brown wrapper. The character of this series is straightforward and honest; they don't have an opulent range of flavors or constantly shifting aromas. They taste like tobacco, direct, unfiltered, and good.

Elaborately packaged in sturdy 20-count wooden boxes, there are 6 different vitolas available. The most unique is undoubtedly the "Josélito" size (smaller José), raising the question of whether he refers to himself or his son, who has also entered the cigar business.
