La Palina Classic

The cigars from La Palina are a revival of an old brand that was originally founded by Samuel Paley. His grandson Bill Paley (the son of William Paley, who founded the CBS TV network) reintroduced the brand to the American market in 2010. Within just a few years, the La Palina cigar portfolio was expanded to a total of 5 series, some of which we exclusively carry in Germany.

The La Palina Classic cigars are rolled in the Dominican Republic at the PDR factory by Abe Flores. Abe has been with us several times at the Cigarworld Lounge; during one of these visits, we discussed and arranged the direct import of the first La Palina cigars. Since we were familiar with his own cigars and held them in high esteem, this was not a question for us at all, but a very clear matter!

A blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos is used in the filler. The binder is from Ecuador, and the wrapper is from Brazil. These are classic cigars with a medium to full body, featuring a hint of sweetness and spice with earthy undertones. The La Palina Cigars portfolio has expanded significantly in recent years. Now, they not only offer Dominican cigars but also those from Honduras. All cigars produced for this brand are either crafted by Abe at PDR or manufactured in Honduras.
