La Palina El Ano 1896 Oscuro

This cigar brand was originally founded in 1896 by William Samuel Paley Junior and then disappeared from the scene in 1926. His son was one of the founders of CBS, the television network in the USA, and he had nothing to do with cigars anymore. However, his grandson, Bill Paley Junior, revived this traditional brand in 2010 and initially introduced it to the US market.

Here at Cigarworld.de, we can offer you a whole range of series from this brand exclusively in the German market. Always true to our motto: If we don't carry this cigar, then it doesn't exist! The one presented here arrived in Germany for the first time in April 2018, after making its debut at the IPCPR 2016 tobacco fair in the USA. The wrapper is a very dark (oscuro) Mexican San Andrés, the binder is Dominican, and the filler blend consists of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos.

The La Palina brand produces cigars in Nicaragua, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and the USA (Titan de Bronze). The cigars made in Miami are rather uninteresting for the German market due to the 28% customs duty on the purchase price.
