Simon Beltre Cigars

You’d think there would eventually be no more news – and yet, time and again, we’re proven wrong. In January 2023, we welcomed cigars by Simon Beltre from the Dominican Republic. Simon comes from the fourth generation of a tobacco farming family in the Azua region in the south of the country. At just five years old – back in 1976 – he was introduced to tobacco cultivation by his grandfather Andrés Beltré (Don Titi) and his father Alcibiades Beltré.

CSZ and Aniversario: Unique Cigars by Simon Beltre

The CSZ format features generous dimensions of 56 × 6. The filler consists of Semilla 2020, San Vincente, Negrito, and SVM. An Olor Dominicano binder is used, wrapped in an Ecuadorian H-2000 wrapper. Its flavor profile tends to be milder than the Andullo and delights with notes of cocoa, coffee, nuts, and leather. According to the manufacturer, the name stands for Swiss chocolate. How exactly CSZ is derived from "Swiss Chocolate" isn’t immediately obvious – but the story behind it is still a charming one: Master Blender Victor Infantes is said to have dreamed that the cigar tasted like Swiss chocolate wrapped in tobacco leaves.

The Aniversario Limited Edition is another cigar by Simon Beltre and – as the name suggests – only available in limited quantities. It impresses with a elegant ring gauge of 54 and a length of 6 inches. Don’t miss your chance to try this rarity for yourself!
