SWAG Black

The latest edition of SWAG was launched in the autumn of 2014; the name "Black" refers more to the cigar band than to the color of the wrapper. Rafael Nodal and his partner Jochi Blanco, who among other things also initiated the Aging Room cigars, have attempted to achieve the strength of a Nicaraguan cigar with Dominican tobaccos in this blend without denying their original characteristics.

For this purpose, only robust tobaccos aged for at least 8 years were processed in Jochi's La Palma factory, without losing their strength too much. It's a quite substantial smoke with woody and peppery notes.

A little aside: in American English, the term "having swag" (or also "swagger") is roughly equivalent to "incredibly cool." Rafael named his cigar brand SWAG in reference to this term; we also have "regular" and Maduro versions in stock. All of them are part of the portfolio of Boutique Blends Cigars, a subsidiary of Rafael Nodal's original venture, Olivero Cigars.
