Cavalier Genève Tres Delincuentes
Since the founding of Cavalier Genève Zigarren, the brand has stood for a fusion of craftsmanship, creativity, and passion. Swiss entrepreneur Sébastien Decoppet and his wife Eylin started the company with the ambition to unite the elegance of European cigar culture with the depth of Latin American tobacco tradition. They are joined by Brian Motola, Sales Director and seasoned cigar aficionado, who has played a key role in shaping the brand’s international presence. Their vision: cigars that are not only masterfully crafted, but also expressions of personality and art – a philosophy that comes to life in the new Tres Delincuentes series.
The Idea Behind Tres Delincuentes
The inspiration for this series came – true to the brand’s spirit – from an unexpected moment. While driving through the Honduran tobacco fields, the song “Tres Delincuentes” came on the car radio. The 1996 track is by California-based hip-hop group Delinquent Habits. The trio – Sébastien, Eylin, and Brian – instantly recognized themselves in it: three free spirits united by creativity and passion. That moment sparked the idea for a cigar line that blends art, music, and community. Each box features one of their three faces in bold colors, paying tribute to their close collaboration and the individuality of each blend. The cigars come in artfully painted cabinet boxes of 24 – true collector’s items for aficionados. In total, there are nine cigars: three blends, each available in three vitolas.
Cavalier Genève Tres Delincuentes: Three Blends, One Soul
The Tres Delincuentes share a common filler made of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Honduran tobaccos, wrapped in an Ecuadorian binder. The wrappers vary: The Connecticut version (featuring Brian’s portrait) delivers a smooth, creamy smoking experience with notes of wood and almonds. The H. Edition (with Eylin’s face) is spicy and elegant, with hints of earth and caramel. The Maduro, featuring a Mexican San Andrés wrapper (with Sébastien’s likeness), is bold and dark, with rich aromas of cocoa and espresso. Available in Robusto (5x50), Toro (6x54), and Gordo (6x60), this series offers an authentic flavor experience for both newcomers and seasoned smokers. A project that powerfully embodies the creative soul of Cavalier Genève – and, as of summer 2025, is finally available in Germany. This brand has gained significant momentum in recent years, and with the switch to distributor Kopp Tobacco, there's now a whole new level of “rhythm” to it! At launch, the team at Kopp chose the light Connecticut version by Brian, which they believe is best suited to German cigar lovers thanks to its milder, creamier profile.
