El Gaucho Premium

The name Gaucho immediately made me think of a South American cattle herder—come to think of it, we actually used to carry cigars from Argentina in our range! That must have been well over ten years ago. But before I digress any further, let’s turn to the cigars from Indonesia presented here. Our specialist trade colleague Sebastian Gollas from Berlin brought this brand to Germany and now distributes it nationwide. Most of the tobaccos used do not come from Indonesia itself. The filler blend, for example, contains Dominican, Cuban, and Indonesian tobacco. The binder comes from the Dominican Republic, and the wrapper is a leaf from Ecuador.

The El Gaucho Cigars are produced in Indonesia, a country with a long tradition of shortfiller production. The region is known for tobaccos with a subtly earthy and herbal base character, which are often combined in blends with finer, more aromatic tobaccos.
