The Montecristo Brillantes was introduced in 2024 to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon. It is a new addition to the „Año Chino“ series by Habanos S.A. and impresses with its unique Venerables format, measuring 128 mm in length with a ring gauge of 53. The lacquered box in the traditional red and gold colors of the Chinese New Year completes the cohesive design.

Montecristo: Cuban Cigar Tradition Since 1935

Montecristo, a hallmark of Cuban cigar craftsmanship since 1935, delights aficionados worldwide. Especially the Montecristo No. 4 and the No. 2 have become legendary. The premium tobacco comes from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río. The Brillantes follows in the footsteps of its distinguished predecessors – with excellence. Connoisseurs can look forward to a nuanced smoking experience.

Montecristo Brillantes: Year of the Dragon 2024

The Brillantes comes in boxes of 18 cigars, as both 8 and 18 are considered lucky numbers in Chinese culture. An NFC chip on the inside of the lid allows verification of the cigars’ authenticity and provides in-depth information about the origin of Cuban cigars.
